Building a personal operating system with Claude
I was invited to introduce Claude to women working in finance who were aware of AI but had not yet incorporated it into their everyday work. My approach was to enable them on how to treat Claude as a practical collaborator across work, personal projects and life administration.
The central idea was to help each person begin building a personal operating system. Attendees learned to turn loosely defined problems into conversations with Claude, organise useful context through simple markdown files, and create systems that could improve as more knowledge was added. The intention was for everyone to leave with reusable starter files and one simple, relevant build.
Major credit to Kyle Zantos for his Skills Distillery, which helped make foundational skills for the operating system.
