Thirty designers, three days’ notice
When Ioana Teleanu arrived in London, a comment thread asked her to host a meetup. I offered to co-host, and in three days we pulled together a room of thirty designers to share stories, learn from each other, and just be in the same place.
“Just when I arrived in London someone said: why don’t you host a meetup? ÌníOlúwa saw those comments, said she’s up for co-hosting, and somehow, in 2–3 days, we managed to bring together so many talented, kind people working in design, to share stories, learn from each other, and just be in the same room.”
“It was such a heartwarming night, and it proved to me once again that 1,000 people on the internet can’t beat that feeling of being with 30 people in real life. We need presence and connection more than ever.”

“ÌníOlúwa Abíódún showed us a masterclass in last-minute meetup organisation… it’s magic how great people attract other great people. So grateful to meet new faces from the London design scene, and to have sincere chit-chats with them.”
